After work I went to Home Depot and purchased a 1/2" diameter bit and an 8" Crescent wrench. I finished drilling the holes in the work bench and installed the 5" vise l purchased this morning.
I stayed late at work this evening and worked on the first longeron. What a bear. After opening the first foot the angle needs to be bent into a curve for about 20" and then there is a 4 degree bend at the tapered end. The difficulty is when you bend an angle, it no longer wants to lie flat and the top leg of the angle is to be level. What a pain to get it right. It took me 90 minutes to bend the first one. I will do the second longeron tomorrow.
