This morning I began to assemble the map box. The first thing I did was remove the fuselage forward upper skin. I then clecoed the map box halves to the right instrument panel.
Next I clecoed the right instrument panel with the map box halves attached to the instrument
shelf. I then final drilled the #19 holes in the instrument shelf into the back bottom edge of the bottom half of the map box.
Next I began to clamp the door and hinge assembly together so I could mark the hinge to match the holes in the map box floor. I then drilled the hinge and marked it "box" so I can keep it oriented correctly. I will continue to work on the map box tomorrow.
